Miva Merchant 3.0 Release Note
Note: Miva Merchant 3.0 requires the Miva Engine 3.7001 or higher to be installed and running.

Miva Merchant 3.0 adds the following functionality:
1. Active / inactive products & categories
Disable products and categories so that they do not appear in the category tree or the product list.

2. Add products to categories
Add products directly to categories from the admin screen.

3. Clear all shopping carts
Clear all of the existing shopping carts in the store, regardless of whether or not they have expired. Can be used in association with maintenance mode.

4. Configurable country list
Like the states list, choose which countries will be displayed to the customer for shipping and billing information on the account information and checkout screens.

5. Canadian VAT
Canadian merchants can accurately charge VAT taxes using Canadian sales tax methods.

6. Enhanced Upsale
Select the number of upsold products that can be displayed to a shopper when criteria is met, as well as the maximum number of upsold products that can be purchased in one session. It is now possible to add and edit upsold products from the Product Information screen as well as see the upsold products that require the product being edited.

7. Import products from Miva Order
Import your products from your Miva Order database by simply entering the path to your Miva Order store. You can also select the category that the products will be assigned to.

8. Minimum quantity for checkout
Define a minimum purchase price or quantity of items that is required for checkout, and generate a custom message that is displayed to the shopper when the conditions are not met.

9. Maintenance mode
Take your store offline if you do not want shoppers browsing while you are updating the site. A configurable time and message provide complete control of the offline process. You can also configure a custom message to warn shoppers of the impending close of the store, and a separate message to be displayed while the store is offline.

10. New layout options for Miva Merchant User Interface
Define the way products are displayed for the product list, search screen, and each category in the store. The new layout options include: show products in expanded or line item form, define fields (name, description, price, weight, etc.) that are displayed, and image type displayed (full-sized, thumbnail, or none).
Define custom graphics or change the text on all of the form buttons within the store. These buttons include: “Add 1 to Basket”, “Buy 1 Now”, “Continue”, “Search”, “Save”, etc.

11. Price-based shipping
Create shipping tables based on the price of the items in the shopper's basket. For example, for a basket total of up to $50, the shipping charge could be $5. For orders over $50, shipping is free.

12. Printer-friendly order reports
View the entire contents of an order on a single page, useful for printing invoices.

13. QuickBooks export
Export customer and batch order information to a QuickBooks compatible format. 

14. Related Items
Add related items to the detailed product information page so that shoppers can add accessories or complimentary items to their basket without having to scroll through the product list or search the entire store to find them.
